Allah will manifest His name of Hadi in Hazrat Mahdi (as), and he will lead people to salvation by his words and deeds. Someone meeting Hazrat Mahdi (as), even if only for a minute, will be hugely affected by his honesty, expression and spiritual state. He will believe subconsciously, if not at a conscious level.
One characteristic of Hazrat Mahdi (as) is his struggle. That struggle will have a huge impact, and other teachers of the time will have no such capacity for struggle.
Those who oppose Hazrat Mahdi (as) say, “There is no antichrist.” These people deny the antichrist. Because if they admit the existence of the movement of the antichrist they will also have to admit the existence of Hazrat Mahdi (as) who will intellectually annihilate that movement. Therefore, either they say, “There is no antichrist” or else they try to give the impression that there is no such thing as the movement of the antichrist by talking about it in nonsensical terms.
We need to ask the devil’s lot about who the Mahdi is. If we ask the supporters of the movement of the antichrist, “Who would you least like to be Hazrat Mahdi (as) but most resembles him?” the answer will show us who Hazrat Mahdi (as) is.
The Prophet Abraham (as) possessed knowledge from the mind of Allah, and acted on it in the finest way. The Prophet Joseph (as) also applied knowledge from the mind of Allah. The way the Prophet Ibrahim kept people at a distance from him by saying he was sick, looked at the stars and said, This is my Lord,” smashed the idols but left the biggest one standing and said that large idol was responsible for everything and hung an axe around its neck are all wise examples of acting on knowledge from the mind of Allah. The Prophet Yusuf having his brother put a bowl in his bag is also based on knowledge from the mind of Allah.
When Allah manifests His title of Hadi in the End Times, people will fully comprehend the secret of the test. People will come to faith through Hazrat Mahdi (as) in the End Times.

The verses about the Jews need to be considered as a whole. One cannot produce a ruling from any one verse. The moral imperfections of Jews described in the Qur’an do not refer to all Jews. They refer to a particular time and group. Allah says that Muslims can eat the food of the People of the Book and marry their women. That means a friendly, reciprocal life. Can you imagine a Muslim man calling his wife “Mrs. Kafir” when he marries a Jewess? He will regularly speak with her parents and family, so how can he be their enemy? That is obviously out of the question. Looking at the Qur’an as a whole, it appears we have to treat the People of the Book with affection.
